Opis lekcji

What color is it? In this fun and colorful lesson, students learn the names of basic colors and how to describe everyday objects. They practice using simple grammar structures like “It is…”, “there is / there are,” and the verb “to be.” Students also learn when to use the articles “a,” “an,” and “the.” The lesson includes vocabulary practice, prepositions of place, and easy questions such as “where is…?” and “where are…?” Through interactive speaking, grammar, and listening activities, students build their confidence step by step while learning to describe what they see in English.

Cel lekcji

  • Vocabulary: Students will identify and name 10 basic colors and use them to describe objects (e.g., a red apple, a blue bag). They’ll expand their vocabulary to include everyday items and color adjectives.

  • Grammar: Students will learn and practice using the articles “a,” “an,” and “the” correctly. They’ll use “there is / there are” to describe what they see and apply prepositions of place (on, in, under, next to) in short, clear sentences.

  • Speaking: Learners will practice describing objects and their colors in pairs and small groups. They’ll ask and answer simple questions such as “What color is it?” and “Where is the book?” to build fluency and confidence.

  • Listening: Students will listen to short dialogues to identify colors and objects mentioned. They’ll repeat key phrases to improve pronunciation and rhythm, recognizing familiar color and position expressions in context.

  • Homework: Homework activities will help students review colors and sentence patterns. Tasks include matching colors and objects, labeling pictures, and writing short sentences using "there is / there are" and prepositions of place.
